Aberdeenshire Anti-Poverty Network meeting 3
19 February @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The third meeting of our Aberdeenshire Anti-Poverty Network,
we last met in November to discuss the issues of rural transport and access to healthcare in Aberdeenshire, a priority identified by the Aberdeenshire citizen’s panel. We heard from NESTRANS about the North East Transport Strategy and discussed areas of good practice and opportunities for collaboration. The second half of the session was led by Ralph Hartley, Policy Officer at The Poverty Alliance and focussed on influencing policy and decision makers to take anti-poverty action. You can find a summary report attached with this email.
The Poverty Alliance would like to invite you to join us online on Wednesday, 19th February from 10am-12pm to continue and build on this conversation.
February’s session will continue to explore the issue of transport and access to healthcare, this time with the emphasis on accessing healthcare services and we will be joined by a range of local speakers. We will then be joined by Ralph Hartley again to think more about influencing policy and decision makers and how we can we work together in Aberdeenshire.
