End Poverty Edinburgh Conference 2024: Community Exclusion

9 October @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Free

End Poverty Edinburgh’ – a group of people with lived experience of poverty – hold their second citizen led event at the Grassmarket Community Project during Challenge Poverty Week on Wednesday, October 9th, 11:00-15:00.

This follows End Poverty Edinburgh’s successful 2023 event, which was attended by Edinburgh Council Leader Cammy Day as well as representatives from a wide variety of organisations. Similarly, this year’s event will focus on important issues around poverty, identified and shared by those living with and with lived experience of poverty. Specifically, our event will be centred around Community Exclusion, focusing on Child Poverty in the morning, and Health, Wellbeing, and Leisure in the afternoon. There will be opportunities for dialogue, networking with the group and other attendees, and lunch will be provided as will refreshments. We hope to bring together a room full of individuals from a variety of backgrounds, organisations, professions, and so on, to maximise our impact, together. We’ll share a full agenda with attendees nearer the date.

This event is partly invited with limited open spaces available. If you’d like to join us, we ask that you please get in touch via the email listed below by Friday the 4th of October, with the following information:
• Who and how many hope to attend? [Please note, for capacity, we ask a maximum of 3 per organisation / group]
• Do you have any allergies / dietary requirements we should be aware of?
