28 October @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Non-discrimination and equality is a key principle of taking a human rights based approach. What does this mean in practice?
A human rights based approach means that all forms of discrimination must be prohibited, prevented and eliminated. It also requires the prioritisation of those in the most marginalised situations who face the biggest barriers to realising their rights.
In our third Rights in Action lunchtime webinar, we will hear from a panel speakers about the principle of non-discrimination and equality, what is means for their work and what it means for the antipoverty movement more broadly.
This is the third webinar of a series on the PANEL principles. With each session focusing on one key principle of taking a human rights based approach.
Speakers include Pinar Aksu (Human Rights & Advocacy Coordinator ,Maryhill Integration Network) Clare Gallagher (Human Rights Officer, CEMVO) and Ruth Callander (Evidence Programme Lead, Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities)
This will be in a webinar format with speakers answering set questions, with space for a short Q&A at the end.
