Rights in Action Report Launch ‘Becoming Human Rights Defenders: Community organisations taking action on rural poverty in Scotland’
11 February @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
In June 2023, a group of six organisations delivering anti-poverty work in rural areas across Scotland came together through the Poverty Alliance’s Rights in Action project.
Over 12 months that followed, using the action learning methodology, these organisations identified issues related to their work and/or community and were supported to take action and make change through adopting human-rights based approaches.
At this launch of our report Becoming Human Rights Defenders: Community organisations taking action on rural poverty in Scotland we will explore the learning from the project and share examples of practice change.
This will be in a webinar format with space for a short Q&A at the end.
Funded by the Scottish Government’s Equality and Human Rights Fund and supported by Inspiring Scotland, Rights in Action is a three-year project working across Scotland to support communities to use human rights as a tool for change.
The event will begin at 12 and finish at 1pm.
