How can we best take a human rights-based approach to the Minimum Income Guarantee?

Poverty Alliance members have shown enthusiasm for the Guarantee as a way of supporting our human rights. The policy could progress our right to an adequate standard of living by promoting adequate incomes, and our right to the social security that can underpin a dignified life. Research has also highlighted the potential of major income supplement programmes to reduce health inequalities and better secure our right to health.

This seminar will be an opportunity to share your thoughts on how we can ensure the Minimum Income Guarantee can progress human rights in Scotland. How can we build support for the policy among human rights organisations and advocates?
