Kirsty McKechnie works for Child Poverty Action Group in Scotland as project manager for the Early Warning System. She is responsible for gathering and analysing evidence about the impact of changes in the benefit system on children and their families.
Kirsty has 20 years’ experience in the benefits and housing advice sector, having previously worked for Shelter and Link Housing Association. She is passionate about tackling inequality and ensuring that everyone has an adequate income and a home. She is also a proud single parent.
