Mhoraig Green 

Mhoraig works for Citizens Advice Scotland which is the national organisation that supports the Citizens Advice Bureaux to deliver high-quality free advice in communities across Scotland, and also campaigns and influences to tackle the root cause of problems people face.  She joined Citizens Advice Scotland in 2019 to lead their advocacy and influencing work on social justice issues including social security, employment and housing; and is currently leading on developing the organisation’s new strategy.

Mhoraig previously worked at COSLA where amongst other things she was responsible for developing Scotland’s national refugee integration strategy New Scots in partnership with Scottish Government and Scottish Refugee Council.  Prior to that she worked for Poverty Alliance, Scottish Refugee Council and was a Trustee of Refugee Survival Trust.  She has experience in research, policy development, influencing, governance and strategy.  Mhoraig is committed to tackling inequality and to ensuring that people who experience poverty are able to influence the decisions that affect their lives.
